Lisa Striar, Psy.D. is a licensed child psychologist and diagnostician with specialized training in neuropsychological and psycho-educational assessment.
Dr. Striar has a private practice in Rye Brook, New York, where she evaluates children and adolescents, who are struggling with learning and emotional issues. For the past four years, she has also served as the Learning Services Coordinator at Greenwich Academy Upper School, a private School in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Dr. Striar earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Maryland and her Doctoral Degree in Child Clinical-School Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School at Yeshiva University in 1997.
Her training and career includes work at major hospitals, community health centers and in numerous school districts.
Her experience includes work at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in the School Problems Clinic, as well as four years and Post-Doctoral fellowship at North Shore University Hospital/ Long Island Jewish Hospital in the departments of Neuropsychology and Child Psychiatry. Dr. Striar has also served as a neuropsychological consultant to the Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES).
Dr. Striar holds positions on multiple philanthropic boards. For the past 10 years she has served as an officer and vice president on the board of the Westchester/Fairfield Women’s Division of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and on the Board of Ferkauf Graduate School, Yeshiva University.
